Semi Senior Accountant - Permanent - Full Time or Part Time considered

Salary up to 25k dependant on experience, pro rata for part time

Purpose of the role

Preparing small company accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns to individuals and owner managed business efficiently, legally minimising tax liabilities and ensuring compliance with tax law and accounting standards.

  1. Prepare tax returns for individuals who are either UK res or non-res with multiple sources of income including full file preparation, investigation and resolution of relevant issues
  2. Prepare small company accounts and corporation tax returns according to UK GAAP including full file preparation, investigation and resolution of relevant issues
  3. Communicating and resolving financial and compliance issues with clients and HMRC
  4. Finalising and submitting accounts and tax returns.
  5. Preparing client correspondence and meetings as well as attending and presenting at meetings
  6. Assist in the preparation of other returns to HMRC as required
  7. Keep abreast of legislative developments and continually review technical knowledge in order to advise clients of efficient and effective tax compliance
  8. Any other duties as reasonably requested

Person Specification

  • AAT/ATT qualified or ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified (minimum 50% of papers first time passes) ESSENTIAL
  • A minimum of two/three years’ practice experience ESSENTIAL
